Revamping PayPal’s invoicing platform

PayPal’s invoicing tool helps merchants globally create estimates, track payments, and set reminders within their dashboard. In 2024, I led a redesign of the invoice creation page to boost conversion rates and better serve PayPal’s diverse merchants.

Since 2021, PayPal’s invoicing product has seen a steady decline, with churn affecting both new and long-term users. While improvements were made for first-time users, by early 2024, long-term users were leaving due to usability issues with the invoice creation page.
The product worked for simple invoices but lacked advanced features for merchants sending multiple invoices. My task was to redesign the interface to balance simplicity for new users with powerful tools for experienced merchants.
